New to programming

Hi all folks, I'm new to programming. Im studying language and I'm a very newbie.
However, I would want to discover how my most loved game was written: monkey island 1 and 2.
Is there a way to see the code Gilbert used to develop the game?
Moreover, is there a way to decompress the game and see UI and graphic and audio files they used to assemble the complete game? I would want to try to make some scene on my own (just in my computer) just to learn it and discover how he scripted.
