Post by euriloco »

I was playing Maniac Mansion with Ubuntu and I want to continue playing in other computer.
Where does ScummVm save the games?
I have the Save Path in Default and I don't know where is it saving them?

Thank you.

See our README for information on where the default save path is on various systems.

I had read this document.
I found Scummvm in //usr/games
and some files in //usr/share
but I can't find where is the ScummVM directory for saved games.

Thank you.

README 6.0) Saved Games wrote: Other unices:
We follow the XDG Base Directory Specification. This means our
configuration can be found in:
$XDG_DATA_HOME/scummvm/saves/

If XDG_DATA_HOME is not defined or empty, ~/.local/share will be used
as value of XDG_DATA_HOME in accordance with the specification.

If an earlier version of ScummVM was installed on your system, the
previous default location of '~/.scummvm' will be kept. This is detected
based on the presence of the path '~/.scummvm'.

According to the README on Linux it might be in:
~/.scummvm/
or
~/.local/share/scummvm/
or
$XDG_DATA_HOME/scummvm/

If it's in none of those three locations, then I don't know.

These are "hidden" paths. "~" means the path to your home directory. The "." at the start of the filename usually causes file browsers to not display the files. You may need to enable displaying of them in your file browser.

Thank you very much.
It's true, the directory was hidden.
Finally, I found the saved game.
Thanks.
