Unable to save Humungous games

Post by dkossman »

I'm running latest ScummVM (1.5.0) on a Mac under Mountain Lion. I've installed a few Humungous games (Freddi Fish, Putt-Putt) from our original CD's, and they play fine. However, the "Save" and "Load" options don't work (accessible from fn-F5). I tried changing the Save Path under the Edit Game menu from "default" to some specific paths, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

The only game where I am able to save and load is Freddi Fish 4 - Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch - and in that case it only works using the game's built-in Load/Save option (computer icon at the bottom left), not from the f5 menu.

Is there any trick to make "save" and "load" work?

thanks for any help.

As it is mentioned in the README

- Only the original load and save interface can be used.
What prevents you from using those?

The earlier games from Humongous Entertainment used 'l' to load a save game, and 's' to save a game.
