Jones in the Fast Lane - Missing parts in adlib music

Post by kiddo4 »

Hello,

I'm using ScummVM 1.4. Playing Jones in the fast lane, the background music plays ony the drum beat and an occasional note during gameplay. the into is fine.

this happens on both windows and macos & apparently in previous ScummVM versions as well.

I'm using AdLib emulation and as i said the intro plays fine. It's just the in-game music that's "partial" so to speak. :)

Any ideas? :)

I have the same thing happen when playing with MT-32 emulation (on the floppy version; I also own the CD version, but I haven't tried it yet).

Did you guys file a bug report? That would be the 1st step towards getting it fixed

Excuse my ignorance on this matter but are there any instructions on how to do that?

Go here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_i ... tid=418820

Create a login then click on Add new to create the bug report.

The link is available on the ScummVM homepage, under Bug Tracker

This is a known issue, and there is a composite bug report about it here:

Wow, the bug was submitted over a year ago. Probably not on the top priority fix list

If you check the tracker, we got open bugs from 2004. Some bugs are obviously harder to debug and fix than others. This is one of them.

I see you fixing SCI bugs all the time on the Changelog, so I know it's not for lack of trying.
