Steam LucasArts Adventure Pack Compatibility How-To?

Post by Alpheon »

I just bought it in the Summer Camp sale, and I'd really, really like to play it with ScummVM. :( I know there's something you can do with a hex editor, and I actually found a small developer's project of a python script that just does it for you, but I'm running Windows and there's something funky in the syntax of the code...can any kind person out there just post a simple "do this, do this, do this, and do this" tutorial for how to make the necessary modifications to play the LA Adventure Pack (including LOOM, The Dig, Indy3 and Indy4) with ScummVM? Or just send me a PM? Please?

Huge thanks.

As it was mentioned in the past, it seems that LucasArts specifically made the re-releases incompatible with ScummVM. We do not want to break that.

Thus I removed link for a project which does that.

Sorry I didn't realise...

Yea the Steam pack is a pain. The music sounds totally different, some sort of midi emulation :-(

They use their own Windows interpreter to run the game. It works ok, but often mouse clicks don't register. Quite a shame.
