Get the latest version (1.3.1) from here http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/

And use the number buttons on the keyboard (1, 5 and 7 if I remember correctly).

The on-screen keyboard. Try 1.3.0, and if it doesn't work get the latest build.

all right. i didnt know there is a way to show the on-screen keyboard. thats why i asked about it. thanks a lot for your help.

for everbody with the same problem: (i got a 3-button phone, maybe it works different with a 4-button phone)
press the menu-button long (sometimes the scummvm-menu starts as well. try it again, because it wont work with the scummvm-menu active).
on the on-screen keyboard:
1: in-game pause-menu
5: save-dialog (can also be loaded with scummvm-load)
7: load-dialog

I installed the latest stable build as of yesterday, 9/14, and I am not able to save discworld either. *sob* Also the button to go back to the game's start screen is grayed out so I seem to have exactly the same problem as you. Did you manage to get it working?

EDIT: Oh, sorry...missed your last post. *goes to try it out*

EDIT 2: Hooray, it works! Now off to miss important things while being amused by Eric Idle!
