Possible sound flaw in DOTT?

I've just finished DOTT and noticed that the last playable character (just avoiding spoilers for anybody reading this) doesn't have a high pitch in his voice after being shrunk (yet the tentacle does, later in the game).

If somebody can, please check if this happens playing outside SCUMMVM, or playing the PC port. This might be a yet unnoticed bug with the interpreter.
