ScummVM 1.3.0 & Monkey Island 2 - issue

Post by larry1976 »

Hi to all !!

i'm not able to use the D-pad to write something in the "Monkey Island 2" copy protection screen.
Is there any particular trick to write something in that screen?

My configuration:
ScummVM 1.3.0
Wii 4.3e Firmware
Monkey Island 2 (DOS/Italian)

 I have seen on youtube that someone is able to successfully use the Wiimote to enter characters (exactly on MI2) ... is a problem of my version of SCUMMVM or MONKEY2(DOS/ITALIAN) !??

Thanks

normaly a virtual keyboard shows up, when you click down on the d-pad, but its a bug in this version.

You could use the last daily build.

It's probably not a bug. The virtual keyboard is a feature you can enable or disable at compile time. In that build, it's probably simply not enabled. Indeed, using the latest daily build should fix the issue.

It was not meant to argue about your choice of words, but,
a bug is some mistake in the sources that needs to be solved in those sources as well.
In this case, it's useless to dig into the sources for a solution as the feature is very likely just disabled.
I wanted to avoid people posting it as a bug.
For an end user, not involved with the sources, the result is the same. :(
