Go grab your DOS or Windows SCI game (that is on this list) and play through it with a ScummVM daily build.
The list is missing a few games:
  • * Castle of Dr. Brain EGA
    * Hoyle 3 EGA
    * Mixed-Up Fairy Tales EGA
    * Mixed-Up Mother Goose, 4 different SCI versions:
    • * 1990 EGA
      * 1991 Multimedia CD
      * 1992 Multimedia Floppy
      * 1995 Deluxe CD

whoa, tried to test KQ6 windows version i got major graphic glitches, the verb bar is too large for its borders and as such inaccessible (inventory isn't accessible either, thus making the game impossible to play). also, borders for talking faces are too big.
see pics:

on another note, the windows version supposed to have different type of cursors (all white, see screen-shots at mobygames). your win ver has the same cursors as the dos version.

using win32 version on windows XP Pro SP3. Scumvmm 1.2.0svn51306

will file a bug report soon.

We don't know anyone who has these. If you do, please submit a bug report with the md5.
OmerMor wrote: * Hoyle 3 EGA
Will add to the page.
OmerMor wrote: * Mixed-Up Mother Goose, 4 different SCI versions:

Same as with Dr. Brain/Fairy Tales EGA above.
OmerMor wrote: * 1991 Multimedia CD
* 1992 Multimedia Floppy
Differences? Either way, we have an entry for both SCI1 and SCI1.1.
OmerMor wrote: * 1995 Deluxe CD
That's SCI2.1 and not supported.

They're without colour and smaller, both of which contribute to the obvious lack of detail when compared to the original DOS cursours. But yes, to each his own.

Afaik those were hardcoded inside the windows 3.11 interpreter.

The scripts ask for the regular cursors and we set them that way. We even upscale them (in all upscaled sci games), normally they would be half of their size and we also fix font issues resulting from regular upscaling.

Yeah, they're in NE executable resources. DrMcCoy's Dark Seed 2 engine has support for loading them (see neresources.*).

Game: EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus
Game Version: Floppy/DOS/English
ScummVM Version: 1.2.0svn51274
Operating System: Windows 7

Problems:
* 3034934 - This game is uncompletable. After you release Delphineus from Adam's house, and after the cutscene in which he returns, ScummVM crashes to the console.
* 3034584 - During the introduction, when Delphineus swims into the the net the net drifts jerkily upwards instead of slightly diagonally.

I'm not going to load those :D using the regular view-cursors looks much better.

I agree, but it would be a neat feature to have via a config option or something :wink:
