Broken Sword 2.5

Post by iPwnzorz »

Got released yesterday: brokensword25.com

What I've played of it so far it's brilliant. I really think there's a future for mindFactory. But in terms of story this game is kinda lacking.

It really does show though, that a classic Adventure engine still works today and that old 2D style is still brilliant.

That's the ETA? Cool. Plenty of other games to play while waiting.

Just completed the game and i was very impressed. that must have been the best fan made game i have ever played. Actually in my persoal opinion its better then most modern company made games. What does everyone else think of it ?

I think there's definitely a future for mindFactory! Provided it doesn't take them another 7 years, I'd like to see what they do next.

Positively impressed, even if I found the screenplay to be rather light.

But for a fan game (and free at that), it certainly is much better than Al Emmo :)

I did try the game for a short while but as I've probably no time/perhaps inclination to replay much of anything these days I thought I'd wait it out for the English release :)

"Couple of months."

Hello all. First post here.

Where did you read/hear this iPwnzorz?
I played half of it Sunday night and the rest on Monday.
A lot of people have commented on the story.
Personally I was so happy to play 2D Stobbartt again that even though I have some constructive criticism it feels wrong to say/type it so I won't.
I'm sure mindFactory themselves made the best game they could given the limited resources they had.
I loved it and it reminded me of some great memories playing the first two. So much so that I'm thinking of getting a NintendoDS for the Director's Cut of the first game which is apparently in development.

First of all, Joe will do ;)

Heard it from the mouth of one of the team Members either on the IRC Channel or Revolution's forum. I can't remember which. They are working on one, I know one of the Forum members is working on 2 characters now.

Hey Joe (sorry I bet the Hendrix thing has been done to death. Just like my name, Robin, and Red_Breast. Seemed the most obvious alias to use.)

I think I know who you mean. Marty McFly

I just hope they don't lose incentive as anybody who really wants to play it probably has already.
I feel like a replay already but will try and wait for English voices.
