Missed the Package in Maniac Mansion

yep I didn't read the walkthrough properly and missed to pick up the package...
Of course I just realized after playing on for MANY hours....

Does anyone know whether it is still possible to play the game through?

There are several ways to complete the game. It all depends on what kids you have chosen to be on your team. If you have Bernard on your team, for example, you can complete the game with his electronics expertise, so the package is not necessary.
