PLEASE HELP ME PLAY SIMON THE SORCERER!!!!

Post by erica »

Hi!

Please can someone help me? I have Simon the Sorcerer on cd but cannot play it on my stupid vista laptop!!! :(
I have been told I can download something from this site to make it work but too be honest - I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO as I am a complete beginner when it comes down to these things!(such a typical girl!!)
When I put my cd in, it comes up with an Error message saying that it is not SUPPORTED BY NT.
What does that mean??

Can someone please please please help me do what I need to do in order to play this brilliant game again!!
Thankyou!!

you have to run it through the ScummVM (virtual machine).

download this:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scum ... e?download

copy all the files from the cd to a folder on your hard drive.
then install the program from the link above, run it and click "add game", select the folder where you copied the files and it should come up in the list. press play and away you go.

Do you know what that means?? It is a CDRW copy -could that be it??

Which version of Simon the Sorcerer do you have? Where did you obtain it from?

this may be because of autoplay, when the cd is in the computer, right-click in the drive and select "open" instead of "autoplay"
