Broken Sword 2: What Datafiles are realy needed

Post by xadox »

Today I have tried to play Broken Sword 2 with the current Scummvm version.
After reading several readme-files I get different recommendations for the needed datafiles for the game.

Which files are realy needed to run broken sword 2 (german).

Now I have 63 files in the game dir, including all .clu, .dxa, .fla, .inf, .tab and .bmp (Game + Demo)

http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... ing_Mirror seems to be the most authoritative page on that matter

I have 29 game data files + a load of video files (in mp2/ogg/pal though) (only full game, no idea about the demo)

I have looked also into the wiki.
There is written *.inf but what .inf files?

In the ScummVM Readme there is also written cd.inf & startup.inf from the root of the CD.

If I only have the resource.inf from the cluster folder the game won't start.

Maybe someone could ajust the wiki with this point.

Thats why you need the two .inf files.
Copy them from your CD and it will work

In the latest build (4th of July) it doesn't.

Saying that a game "always crashes" is not very helpful to pinpoint a bug :) And yes, there was a regression in the audio streaming code that got fixed, so there shouldn't be any problems with BS2
