Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Can anyone confirm if the Polish CD version of Teenagent (which I believe was only released for the Amiga) was released as freeware?

Hmmm. I'm guessing that is a yes. Or would its freeware status only apply to the time that that website was up?
And if it is freeware, would it be within the rules of these forums to ask where a copy can be found? (The download links of the archived Metropolis Software site are dead.)

Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Also the Czech version was released few years ago as free officialy. Just Scummvm doesn't support the czech language till now
.

Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
While the English version is available as Freeware via GOG, they do not have the Polish or Czech versions:

I think the exact situation for other versions is slightly unclear, though likely to be freeware:

Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Well, I have also the original CZ version, it was bundled on the CD of Czech magazine Score
. What is needed to have the support of this version in Scummvm? Do you need some official article about the release? I have doubts about the GOG.com, I asked them for several times, if the CZ version won't be also released, but didn't recieved any kind of asnwer.

Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
I believe that CD Projekt, the company which owns GOG, also owns the license to Teenagent.
Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Well, if you can get them to put the Czech and Polish version up as Freeware on GOG, then we can look at supporting them.
Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Mea maxima culpa! The Polish CD (Talkie) version is already available from GOG (albeit "hidden") it is in its own installer! Having multilingual installers present on GOG I did absolutely forgot about the language option at the game page...
Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Can we play with polish voices and english subtitles?
Re: Teenagent - Polish CD talkie version
Sadly no, or at least not in the manner You have described!
Using both 212 or daily builds in conclusion with Polish talkie version from GOG following results so far:
1) The game is detected by scummVM engine (albeit as Czech translation instead of Polish original), and could be started from Scumm UI.
2) Audio tracks in ogg format supplied with GOG version are detected and played. You need to do the renaming hack for tracks but... It seems the audio track numbers starts from 2 not 1 (comparing ingame midi to audiotracks - when using complete naming hack the game plays wrong audio tracks)
3) talkie pack (VOICES.RES) is detected (as shown in log on --debuglevel=10), the log shows the samples are played but no voice acting only cd audio playing)
4) Subtitles are shown in English (even when set speech only in UI), on the contrary the subtitles were in Polish (if I am mistaken not, originally there were no subtitles in intro, beause first optin to set ingame subtitles ON was when player got controll in the bootcamp)
5) additional/changed logos are detected by the ScummVM engine and played properly (thus showing CD Project logo for non-talkative-talkie)
So You can play the game with english subtitles and CD audio, but whithout speech
I have to dig out Czech translation I do posses somewhere in my archives and see if the Czech translation is detected as Czech (or perhaps as Polish instead)
