Civilization II

Has anyone ever spent thoughts on coding an engine for Sid Meier's outstanding Civ II? Yes, it's not an adventure game, but..

Civ's 16-bit executables aren't friends with 64-bit Microsoft OS's and a lot of peoples' remaining 95/98/XP machines will a near day..

There are already some very good open source alternatives for Civ 2. Check out FreeCiv or C-evo.

And there is http://www.dosbox.com/, which does run on 64 bit Windows too.
