Post by marlene1102 »

Hallo
sorry, my english is not so good:

I have Windows 7 and would like to play Monkey Island 3 with scummVM and it works.

but the problem is, I can't save the game.
I have already created a folder called saves, opened scummVM --> options --> paths --> folder "saves"

but it doesnt work!!! when i want to save it says "failed to save game state to file comi-de.s00"

please help me... i am searching for a solution for weeks but i dont now what to do any more!!
greets,
marlene

you would probably need to run as admin.

either right click and select run as admin each time

or

right click, properties, go through the tabs until you find a check box, sayin run as admin. check it (tick in the box) then click ok. then you can just doble click the emulator each time :)

Even easier would be to create a save path in a place where he has write access though, like in his user directory.

Have you tried turning off UAC? (Control Panel --> User Accounts --> Change User Account Control Settings), although this should be overridden if your starting ScummVM as Admin, I still think you should try it.

Which version of ScummVM are you using?

I'm guessing you're playing a German version of Curse of Monkey Island?
