Simon, I don't entirely understand your question, but I'll try to answer anyway. In ScummVM the Audio tab is used to select your MIDI playback device (emulated or otherwise) and other settings. The MIDI tab lets you select a few more advanced settings. I usually leave the MIDI tab alone except in sp...

I tried playing the game with sergm's SVN, and it works great!

I'm extremely grateful for your assistance, and thrilled to be playing QfG4 the way I remember it best for the first time since the 90's.

Thanks for the informative reply. I'm a bit afraid to attempt changing registry entries at this point, but I really would like to get the MT-32 emulation to work if I could. Would you be kind enough to tell me what I would have to add to the registry? (I have very fond memories of the MT-32 score to...

Dosbox, MUNT, Windows 7 64-bit

So, having repurchased the Quest for Glory series through gog.com, I'm trying to play through the whole series. Of course, 1, 2, and 3 run great in ScummVM, but 4 isn't nearly far along enough yet, so I'm playing it through DOSBox. My only major problem is that I can't figure out how to get MT-32 em...

Quest for Glory 3 initiation issue

I'm currently playing through Quest for Glory 3: Wages of War, as a paladin, and as I finished the first part of the initiation contest (tying the vine to the spear), the elder tells me that I won the contest, then immediately says that Yesufu won the contest. The contest carries on without any poin...

The music in IIgs AGI games doesn't sound the way it's supposed to. Maybe it's been a while since you've played these games on an actual IIgs, but the AGI music was more advanced than that played on a PCJr, Tandy, or internal speaker. Try looking up IIgs versions of AGI games on Youtube to hear the ...

Now I'm wondering, is the CD-Audio score played in game, or was it meant as something to listen to outside of the game? I already ordered a CD-ROM copy off Amazon, so I suppose I'll know soon enough.

Well, maybe that's not such a bad thing. My intuition tells me had there been voice acting, it probably would've been pretty bad. Maybe.

Rad. There're five or six games I'm probably going to buy when I get paid this week.

Blue Force formats

So, now that Blue Force is supported I'm shopping around for a copy, and I'm curious: is the game available as a CD talkie, or is it floppy only?

I got the same message upon starting up ScummVM. MPEG2's no longer supported. A quick download of the DXA movies solved the problem effortlessly.

Okay, I'm going to try to replicate the problem for the sake of the bug report. I current have my save path set to 'Default'. Where exactly would that be on a normal Windows 7 install?

I was able to make saves just fine, actually, before I even reported the password problem. The game lets you save as early as the Sierra menu screen; however, if you try to restore, you'll be taken to the password screen (which now works fine). I stored the game files in a folder on my desktop where...

Okay, I think I have it figured out. So... on the LSL5 CD there is no 'memory.drv' file, which is where the password would be stored if one were set. When you run LSL5 for the first time (outside of ScummVM), it will ask you if you want to set a password, to which you can say, 'Why bother?' or set a...
