Simon the Sorcerer 2 (DOS versions) actually offered separate music tracks for GM and MT-32. You sure? I extracted the MIDI soundtrack some time ago and only found one set of GM files. And playing the game with a MT-32 doesn't give the impression that the LA soundtrack is a distinct one. Mm, I must...

Don't count on MG for accurate information. As for native MIDI support in post-1992 games, it's mostly GM except for a few exceptions (for the record, GM appeared in 1991 and didn't gain much recognition before 1993). In light of this, one should really make a distinction between native LA and nativ...

Yeah, just read through the dev list (lots of discontent over the "1.0 or not" right now) and it appears it's probably never going to happen. Nice. Well, I hope someone in Australia is still having fun with my copy.

Decent documentation. Nobody is working on that now. What do you mean by "decent"? See this topic . Support for all LEC games. Now we still have big problems with MM NES, MM C64 and lack support for Apple ][ games as well as PCE Loom 1.0 is finally around the corner and here I am doing fo...

Sounds like the old pack I released in 2004 and which was once hosted by the Scumm Bar.

You can still find it here.

Forget YDL. Use Xubuntu.

The latest ScummVM build available from the Canonical repos (0.11 or 0.12 IIRC) works nice in Xubuntu 9.10. Still have to fiddle around with the aspect ratio though (scanlines look messed up on my config).

Open source development on the 360 is not an option as long as you won't be able to install Linux on it. Period. Microsoft knows it and Dreamspark can only be a stopgap in the meanwhile.

Not willing to rain on your parade, but it doesn't sound nearly as close nor as good as the MT-32. I'm afraid you have a poor understanding of how a LA synth works. No offense.

Glad you enjoyed my long forsaken pack. There was some discussion a few years ago about my recording sounding "too good" and not oldskool enough (I played the music through an AHI driver on my Prelude soundboard, and not directly through the unfiltered Paula soundchip). I'm still not satis...

Common sense dictates that if the ScummVM debugger appears, the error message should be reported ASAP to the ScummVM bug tracker.

That's what I do as well, although <offtopic mode> it seems the "master" extra path is not recognized by Kyra 3 (kyra.dat needs to be put in the game directory for the game to work).
