They are using the same path as the icons, so check your path under Global Options -> Paths -> Icon Path.

I don't think that's right. Are you sure you are not using SDL Surface for that game? Maybe you have overridden global settings for the game?

Another observation I can make, is that for the GOG English version, the res 104, 204 and 304 files are identical.
This, however, does not apply to the Steam German version that I also currently have installed.

The version I've played to the end was the GOG English one.
