How about the dismal problem of the SCUMM Menu (i.e. save/load, ingame options, etc.) having unreadable fonts when running 640x480 games on my SE W950's 320x240 screen? Granted, Spy Fox: Dry Cereal is the only one I got running without hanging/stuttering/whatever else (minor graphical glitches, but ...

Don't cite me, as The DIG is the only 320x200 game that's problematic. Besides, it's not slow per se, it just LOADS very slowly. Older (i.e. non-CD-only) games work at 100% speed, so does Full Throttle. I even got CoMI to run! Except that it hangs dead on when Guybrush wakes up next to Wally in the ...

Update: hangs for dead during the screen scrolling in the scene in the rift-in-the-asteroid when Low attempts to drill out the first triangular plate. It gives a kernel error when the scroll starts, then plays the scene out till the end (i.e. Low gives his lines, Brink replies, Low drills, the curso...

These files are for Curse of Monkey Island, the third game in the series. Your post is written as if you're trying to work the first one, and for that you'll either need to round up the LFL files or the MONKEY.000 and MONKEY.001 files depending on the version.
Make up your mind or clarify the post.

4-Games etc - Nes emulator, snes emulator, what exactly is this thing capable of? 5-Hacking / programming - how easy is it to program, and how much is this expected to expand dramatically over the years? I'm looking for a device I can expect to hold on to for years and years as basically an mp3 pla...

This can be one of the following seven hundred reasons: 1. P1 uses a new-and-supposedly-improved UIQ3.1, which while advertised as fully backwards compatible, might not actually be that. 2. If you are launching non-SCUMM or Talkie/CD SCUMM games, ALWAYS allow for at least two minutes' worth of loadi...

Update: Yep, copying it off the CD helped. Works like a charm. A stuttering fizzling charm invoked by an underaged wizard with a speech impediment, but a charm nonetheless. It takes godawful amounts of time to load each screen, but the sound works smoothly, (though the game's startup is marred by an...

I wouldn't know if it's normal or not. I don't, however, run any third-party programs on my phone whenever I'm emulating anything (be it via ScummVM or something else), and so, w/o ScummVM I get 20-21 megs free. I really couldn't tell you why, though, honest. As for the sound, I used the data files ...

Doesn't crash for me, although there is a different problem (W950i here too, that would be the UIQ3 build for the tech-speak people) - I'm lacking speech in-game (i.e. outside the SAM-cutscenes, which I assume just have it hardwired into the audio track like they do the music) which is not entirely ...

Thanks, using the uncompressed version did it. Takes an awful while to load on startup (agree with me, three minutes IS an awful while), but it's better than nothing.

Ain't necessarily so.
My problem list includes FOTAQ taken from the ScummVM site, and while SwissMP shows that I have 20 megs of RAM free, the game still won't work.

rusmiley , are you sure you aren't confusing storage memory (i.e. disk space where the programs are stored when they're not in use) and RAM memory (the one programs get loaded into)? [Damnable English technical language, in russian we have separate comfortable words to denote each of those memory t...

ScummVM on UIQ3 (some games don't work)

I'm currently using the latest UIQ3-compatible version (which is the 0.X.0 tic-tac-toe stable), and I'm running it on a SonyEricsson W950i with the latest firmware, though I'm not sure if the latter has any impact on performance. In any case, there are several problems which I seem to have run into ...
