Lands of lore

I used my second Vaelan's Cube to remove Scotia's barier before completing White Tower and don't have earlier saves. Are there some debugging options to spawn this item? _________________ Update: Ok, it's not important anymore - I just finished White Tower without Vaelan's cube - it wasn't that hard...

Adventure games - wishes

Now, that Tim Schafer is going to make a new game according to wish of adventure-fans (2,5 mln $ wish), it seems that anything is possible. I'd like to know what are your wishes? Maybe some of them are going to come true? Mine is that Lori Cole makes a new installment of Quest for Glory series using...

Please don't make this a childish argument about who is right or not, try to be constructive;) What was that about??? It was you who started talking about who is right??? But mostly me:P I don't know the games interiors, but now that I refreshened my memory I don't believe it is realtime. All those...

If you played the game and have seen just a few "2.5D" adventure games, you'll end up concluding that in no way the characters in this particular game are real time 3D. No matter what Wikipedia says. I agree. It looks that they created animated 3D models and then rendered using cell-shadi...

I think you're both wrong. The models were rendered into sprites using cell-shading. But it's completely 2D, and it's pretty obvious, frames are not that many, especially when the character makes a turn. Is seems you're right. It's been almost 8 years since I've played it, so I didn't remember it w...

raina wrote: The 3D looks pre-rendered to me so that would just mean a whole lot of 2D image resources to achieve that smooth animation. I'm not 100% on this but I would be very surprised if it was actual 3D.
It's not pre-rendered - it's realtime 3D. It just uses cel-shading.

Prince and the Coward could be very similar to Teenagent, as they come from the same developers.

Though of course it's just a guess - I don't own the first one, so can't verify it.

Come on people, get back on Earth. This algorithm is nice, but there is very long way from current state to realtime processing. There are different potential routes to optimizing it, but I personaly woudn't like that scummvm team wastes time on such task (fortunately they are wise enough not to do ...

Thanks for the reply. I already figured out how to extract files from the .bnk file. The music is in .ADP files which are compressed with some ADPCM variant, but I'm not sure how exactly. I opened one of them in sound editor as Dialogic VOX ADPCM file. However it doesn't sound correct. There is no n...

As a matter of fact I have multiripper somewhere too. I haven't thought about it, but maybe it will work - I have to try. But as I recall, it's pretty old software, capable of ripping old Amiga modules in different variations. Balls of Steel is a newer (sort of - it's from 1997) Windows game, with 1...

Balls of Steel

There is a thread about Duke Nukem Forever, and words "Balls of Steel" appeared there. That reminded me about great pinball game titled the same, so I decided to refresh my memory and play a little. It's very good game, I especialy enjoy the soundtrack. And here comes my problem: I'd love ...

I only know one thing, there is no such thing as abandonware. I don't think he uses word abandonware, as "software I can download from Internet for free, pretending I'm not a thief", but simply as "software that it is impossible to find someone responsible for, so I can't get any sup...

Undithering is not a filter. Where have I written so? I was refering to all different features enhancing (or should I say distorting?) original gameplay. Should we turn all filters on by default too? If you like. As for me, I don't really care. It's not THAT BIG problem to me. I can always turn the...
