I hadn't thought much beyond "ooh maybe they'll release the original untouched Star Wars on Blu ray now!" While at it, they should hire Adywan as chief of the remastering division, and do seamless branching Blu-Ray editions with the original theatrical cut (with original mono, original do...

What is the standard of sound output for modern games? Usually pre recorded tracks, streamed by the game engine. They don't use MIDI anymore. MIDI files where mainly used due to limited capacities on floppy disks. Some early CD titles still used MIDI, usually when the game was released on floppies ...

Quick question, is using the MT-32 midi module essential for use with the LAPC-I? i.e. one will not work without the other? No. The MT-32 is a standalone sound modul which you can use on any MIDI out port, not limited to MPU401. With an USB MIDI cable, it can be used on today's computers. The LAPC-...

Granted, BTTF is not a very hard or complex game, but an adventure throughout, if you asked me. Games based on movies are usually just some boring shooter or platformer, but not this one. I liked the story, the acting, the graphics. All that together makes a well designed game, imho. Merely the qual...

More diversity would be more different versions and graphic modes of the game itself, ie. Amiga and Sega along with the PC enhanced CD and disk version and the VGA version also in EGA mode and the EGA version also in CGA and Hercules modes. And of course the Special Edition as well.

I don't remember right now, but all hints are there in the game, I'm sure.
I highly recommend the Universal Hint System for subtle hints without spoiling the solution right away: http://www.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/grimfand.php

Does this include LucasArts as well?
I wish id Software, Revolution Software or some similar open source friendly company would buy LucasArts. We might even see the Scumm authoring tools released. Sadly, I guess we don't ever.

Wasn't Maniac Mansion NES the only ROM game supported? I thought, only disk version of the C64 games are supported, since there weren't any official versions on ROM.

How much RAM does it actually require? I'm trying it on the Minimig core (docking13) for the Chameleon 64. It has Chip: 2MB, Slow: 1.5MB, Fast: 8MB. When I start it from the Classic Workbench GUI, it just occupies a few MB and quits after a few seconds without any message. When I start it with no st...

It's all in this patch: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3076698&group_id=37116&atid=418822 It seems, the native MIDI attribute did not make it to the official release for some reason. The DOS version is not able to play any of the ambient tracks. The DOS SCUMM V5...
