Re: Cannot adjust scaling/resolution in fullscreen mode v2.5.1
We changed how determining the screen size works in OpenGL during the 2.5.0 release cycle. Usually, you don't need to set the resolution on your own, but if you want to restore the "old" behavior, set "Graphics mode" to "SDL Surface". Please note that it won't change th...

Re: The Longest Journey - datafiles can't be copied
Hi Sven! This looks pretty much like a copy-protection scheme to me. Back in the day, one early way of copy protection was to modify the TOC (basically the "inventory" of a CD) and create artificially big files, so in case you want to burn it to another CD-R, it would obviously fail. Furth...

Re: Monkey Island 4 - when supported?
As you noticed, Monkey Island 4 is not fully supported by ScummVM. Since we only include engines that we consider to be "ready" in the stable releases, you can't play EMI out of the box. However, you can use the ScummVM daily builds [1]. While primarily meant for testing the very latest co...

Re: Myst ME and in-game aspect ratio
Yes, Myst had a black board around all four sides of the images. I quickly fired up Myst ME in a Windows XP VM - this is how it looks like on a simulated 640x480 screen and the original aspect ratio. Note that the game always sets the window size to 640x480, so even if you had a widescreen display b...

Re: Myst ME and in-game aspect ratio
In-game, Myst uses a pretty non-standard resolution of 544x332. This explains why the game appears to be in something like 16:10. Back in the old days, the game had very large black bars around the images, so it wasn't even capable of using a standard resolution like 640x480. The aspect ratio correc...

Re: Window size ScummVM GUI & Games
Hi, this question is not silly at all. We recently added automated GUI/window scaling to increase compatibility with modern screens running at higher resolutions. When ScummVM is launched for the first time with recent versions, the screen size is calculated automatically to get a close-to-perfect 4...

Re: Support for: The Clue/Der Clou possible?
It is correct that we have the WIP engine in my GitHub (lotharsm is my alternative nickname at GitHub).
But yes, currently development is halted due to various issues. I have no idea if or when development will resume - everyone who is able to help us out is very welcome to leave a message

Re: Small Fonts in GUI on Apple Silicon
Please check out the "Paths" tab in the "Options" dialog. This looks pretty much like a wrong "Theme Path" to me, breaking the font loading.

Re: DOTT Floppy-Version no Soundeffects with MIDI
Hi, in order to make Fluidsynth work, you need to provide a SoundFont file that contains the actual sounds. Did you provide a SoundFont via the ScummVM settings?
EDIT: I think I misunderstood your question. So the _music_ works, but the sound effects are missing?

Re: Relative paths in scummvm.ini
I'm referring to the ScummVm folder, but what if I have to get up to one folder? Hi there, welcome to our community! I'm afraid that this won't be easily possible since macOS and Windows use different path formats. Have you tried using ../ ? EDIT: Another option would be to prepare two different sc...

Re: ScummVM 2.5 crashing on startup
I do not understand my problem. Because, I was using Scummvm-2.5.0 and it worked perfectly until the update of Saturday. Thank you for your help and patience. Well - there was no update on Saturday. If you installed the update on Saturday, this means that you were running ScummVM 2.2.0 before. Sinc...

Re: ScummVM 2.5 crashing on startup
I'm afraid this is an issue with your system and not an issue within ScummVM. Even the current version 2.5.0 works perfectly fine when setting the resolution to 1280x720 - I just tested it again in my VM, and no matter whether I use OpenGL or Surface SDL rendering, I can't replicate the issue you de...
