A nice feature if your mouse dies? Yeah, ummm, can't tell ya how many times that happens! And the cost to get a new mouse is just insane. Glad you're planning for all contingencies

I dunno why, but when I try using the OpenGL graphic option, it just gives me a blank screen. Weather in window or fullscreen mode. Using the latest daily builds.

Using Win7 32 bit with a GeForce 9800 GT graphics card. Up to date drivers.

So according to that, it exploits software from the original MT-32 (which is what I have). So anything newer won't be able to play it accurately :?

Reading your original post, I assumed you had an actual MT-32

Weird. I can play SQ3 through DOSBox and ScummVM without any issues. Just turn on the MT-32 and start playing the game.

I'm using the latest daily build of ScummVM & I'm using Win7 32 bit.

The game sounds fine through my MT-32 using a Yamaha USB to MIDI cable. Under Audio settings, I have the Yamaha cable chosen as my music device. Then under the MT-32 tab, I have True Roland MT-32 (Disable GM Emulation) checked

HLSL Support?

As I'm sure most people know by now, MAME & MESS have implemented HLSL support. It's really amazing how you can get the screens to look like your old tv screens or old arcade monitors.

Was curious if anyone on the ScummVM team had any interest in implenting it into there engine?

I played every sierra game when I was a kid. 1st one was KQ2. Back then you had to call a phone number, pay money, or order a hint book and wait a week to get it. So I didn't bother with them. I actually beat all the games without using the phone number or hint books. And I would have felt like I wa...

At least he can respect himself by taking on the challenge of games with "dead ends". Even though KQ6, as prviously stated, hardly realistically qualifies.

Keep to your simple games. Don't want these things to be to mentally challenging for you.

Not having the right items can get you stuck in a spot where you have to back up a bit to go get them. Most adventure games are like that. Of course. A dead end is where you have to go all the way back to the beginning. Or VERY far back and practically replay it from scratch. So, anywhere you have t...

1st, you stated that KQ6 has at least 5 dead ends. Could you state what 5 those are? You also stated that dead ends caused all these people to ask for non dead end games. One person asked and look how many more in comparison defended dead end games. I'd say the popularity of them has not died. How m...

To answer your question... No, they will not tell you what you need before entering the catacombs. If they offer to let you go to collect them, then you don't have everything you need. If you do, they have you go in right away. However, if you go back and you still don't have all the items, then the...

Exactly the point I was trying to make musicallyinspired. I think this whole thread is rediculous. Just play the games and enjoy them. Some can be frustrating, but that's the point of adventure games. Being clever and getting through them. No fun if they're to easy.

While many of them have dead ends, you're missing out on a lot of great classics just because you don't want to save that often. Personally I think that's a silly reason not to play them.
