Send a PM to dhewg, I have done so in the past. He's comes to this forum regularly, but does not always have the time to read all posts.

I am sure he will reply to your PM. He's a really nice guy and is very supportive on this kind of stuff.

Best regards.

Re: Middle Click

CrawdKenny wrote:Is there a way to Middle Click on the Wiimote? Playing Sierra games, it would be very useful. In SCI games, middle click changes between walk and whatever the last icon was.
There is currently no way to do this on the Wiimote. I personally don't feel it is that useful, it is more of a gimmick.

I gave another try, this time a little deeper. I was able to reproduce it, but It happened to me until I reached the Crystalers Guild, and then it happened to me again later when I was inside the Dragon's Cave. This was my setup: Wii SysMenu 4.1 HBC 1.0.6 on IOS61 ScummVM 1.1.1 LoomCD with Vorbis OG...

Tried it. It's still a great port. But it's not 2.0 USB Speed. It's still 1.1. Got the same "speed issues" as with 1.1.1. Monkey Island 3 for example is jerking. Do you have HBC 1.0.8 running on IOS58?? Also, I believe that COMI struggling is not related to the drive speed but to the huge...

Ah yes :D Now I remember that the HBC installer detects if you have IOS58 installed upon starting.

Now we know that the IOS must be already installed before installing HBC 1.0.8 :)

Correct, ScummVM itself won't reload IOS. Dhewg: Thanks for your prompt answer! MusicallyInspired: If you already have HBC 1.0.8 it's safe to update to System Menu 4.3 now. This time it doesn't delete bootmii from boot2, but it might delete bootmii from IOS, if that happen, just re-install it. Rega...

How do you get IOS58 running anyway? You just need to have it installed. If you are under Wii Menu 4.3 then it already is. If you don't want to update you can use Tantric's IOS58 Installer (search for it at wiibrew.org). In order to verify if your HBC is running on IOS58, press Home button when you...

Except to get rid of the annoying notice so you don't accidentally accept it. Exactly, personally I like to have the latest update version to avoid getting the update notice, and besides eventually the newer games will start coming with it embedded forcing you to upgrade if you want to run them (se...

Let's at least wait until Marcan, Dhewg and others release a new version of HBC that doesn't get removed by the 4.3 update, then it would be safe to update. I'm very positive they will find a way to avoid the HBC removal from the 4.3 update. It's just a matter of time for them to analyze what the pa...

I'm curious because I have been trying to reproduce this and have not been able to do it.

I have tried with both my LoomCD and EGA/Spanish versions.

What version of Loom are you running? EGA/CD/FM-Towns? And what language is it?

For me this is working fine so far.

Following on this topic, I don't think we need a lot of storage space, nor I think it would generate too much bandwidth consumption... Translation patches files are only between 150Kb and 250Kb each. I don´t think they will get downloaded massively as for example ScummVM is when a new version is rel...

No need to use hacked versions, that's dangerous too. Just use the latest HackMii installer to reinstall all the components, you don't need any patched IOSes or system menu. See http://hackmii.com/ dhewg, are you saying it is possible (and safe) to upgrade to 4.2 and then reinstall HBC using HackMi...

However, if you or somebody else wants to setup a "central" website collecting legal fan translations resp. linking to them all, we could definitely link to it from our links sections, and also announce it in a news posting. fingolfin, First of all, many thanks for your kind answer. I agr...

Re: Create Translations section in the download page

LucasArts game translations don't feature any game files too but some consider game modifications to be illegal, in other words, to use them legally you must own a licensed copy of the game you wanna patch! Of course, translations patches are meant to be applied over legally owned versions, as with...

Re: Create Translations section in the download page

They aren't oficially supported, but most of the Russian fan translations I use work with ScummVM! :) I don't know whether they are legal or not, depends on the game, but I think it's better to leave a link at the forums, then you should let the ScummVM authors decide whether they should post it or...
