I wish Lucasarts would stop holding onto the rights already. I seriously wish someone would sue Lucasarts, because isn't what Lucasarts is doing violating the U.S. constitution? uhm, what have you been smoking? Lucasarts owns the IP, even if they want to flush it down the toilet, it's theirs to do ...

Well, Ceville will be shipped by end of the week, I just wanted to mention a very recent title. As for the rest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Still_Life_(video_game) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destination_Treasure_Island http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memento_Mori_(game) For the rest I at least fou...

@SuperDre: As most of the time, Wikipedia can offer you some enlightenment. On the other hand, if you haven't heard of those games, I have to doubt your knowledge in adventure gaming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Files:_Tunguska http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/So_blonde http://en.wikipedia.org/...

Well, here my very own opinion: They are wrong. They are looking at the North American market and predict, that their 1923th Star Wars installment will sell better that a new graphic adventure game. If they turned their eyes towards Europe, they would see that latest adventure games like Secret Fil...

Re: Blade Runner by Westwood: any chance?
I guess that if the source code will ever be released, it may make it into Residual, not Scumm, because of the 3D models. I guess somewhere down the line Residual will become part of ScummVm.. No, the two projects got different aims (2D point'n'click adventures vs 3D ones) Even though both have dif...

Re: Which is this site?
I'm sorry to say, but if you really intend to make new adventures you better use AGS, it's much MUCH better as SCI (and who knows, maybe it will be merged with ScummVM in the future too).rivadolmo wrote:Any link to the FreeSci Resources to develop new adventures?

Also the other 'problem' is probably the license under which Scummvm is distributed.. it propably disallowes Sony to not distribute the changes they made to it for it to work on the PS3 (from the XMB), and unless Sony isn't permitted to keep the changes needed to run it on the PS3 from XMB private t...

Has anyone at ScummVM tried contacting Sony? I guess sony wouldn't be interested at all anyway, if they where interested in allowing old games to play on the PS3 they would also have added something like wii's virtualconsole, or even better have a PS2 emulator available for the newer PS3's (even if...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
why? are YOU going to help develop it? I bet it is going to hit trunk when the time is right. well, that's a constructive answer.......... and who knows maybe I would help fix problems at least I could if I've had the time, YOU certainly don't with the answer you gave.. And about it hitting the tru...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
As for a Myst/Riven engine, I've been working on one. The process has been slowed down by real life, but it is coming along slowly but surely. (See here for random and scattered posts on the progress.) Well, maybe it would be a good idea if you try to add the engine to scummvm, which means yet anot...
