I assume that you're somehow against the idea of switching the phone's silent mode (where the sound output is switched off for the entire phone) on? Because that's what I use when I need the sound off, be it in ScummVM or anything else.

Tested this and I've got to say - it works! The scrolling issue seems to be connected with the positioning of the 'borders' which the cursor has to rub against when scrolling the screen. If you move the cursor to the right, the screen will start scrolling before the cursor reaches the visible edge, ...

Yay! Does that mean we can await a test build for the Sword engine soon-ish?

Yes, please. They are what seems to be the root of the problem.

Have you tried running your version under DosBox to check which language its internals are in?

AG, I assume that filesharing services such as FileFactory or zShare are not an option?

thefranz, could you post the whole directory structure of the CD then? It would be easier to identify that way.

I'm fairly certain that it will be announced when it will be fixed. And no, it's still broken.

Must have mixed it up with Hand of Fate, which came in more than one language. So did LoK, actually. At least the one I have. And what language it is. He seems to be confused whether it is German or English. Or at least it seems that it's English, but he set the settings as German in the in-ScummVM...

Because you haven't set up ScummVM properly? In all honesty, beats me. My ancient floppy version of Loom works pretty well with ScummVM, both on my PC and my mobile.

Unless you own it from way back or find someone willing to part ways with his copy, then no, no easy (and legal) way.

is the symbian correct package
If you'd be so kind as to explain what this phrase means :)

You need the Symbian S60v3 build, as the Symbian UIQ3 build is for the Sony Ericsson phones. Assuming I understood your question correctly that is.

Oh, nearly forgot. For matters of clarification, AnotherGuest stopped compiling the Broken Sword engine into the Symbian release of ScummVM since before Gob engine support was added, and that was a loooong while ago because the game, being SVGA and all, doesn't have very high survival chances on a S...

Check if the paths settings of ScummVM point to folders that aren't marked as hidden or system (make some of your own just in case). This is a rather common problem with multiplatform programs running on Nokia phones, or so I've been told.

I know its a dumb thing to ask, but have you checked the internal volume settings of the PHONE ITSELF? It'll probably be the controls for Multimedia volume, the one that gets used, f.e., when you play musick or other games on your mobile.
