I think the problem is that the list() function provided by Android's AssetManager is *incredibly, incredibly slow* on some devices. I pushed a change in mid-May which makes it faster (ef39ca88) by only calling it once (which is why the latest version is better), but it looks like even that is way t...

cdtoons is Broderbund's own quicktime codec.

Re: Force Mohawk engine (orig EXE) games to play in 16bit co

Mohawk games can be a big pain in the butt to record footage of, as most software doesn't properly support the graphics mode, especially the way *some* mohawk games do it! (Cough: looking at you Carmen Time.) Which bits do you have a problem with recording? cstime's cdtoons videos (e.g. the intro v...

thanks for the clarification, and I shouldnt expect much support for an unsupported game atm but do you think this issue will be resolved in future updates to the relevent backend? I think we'll fix the engine to request a supported colour mode; it's just not much of a priority since The Last Expre...

is this one of those things where the user needs to turn the flag on and build it for themselves? I ask because the current SVN build doesn't seem to detect anything no matter how I present the game disc files to it. You're not actually using an SVN build, right? :) Which build are you trying it wi...

It'll get hacked around in the 1.6.0 branch at least.

Because of the inability for completed stages to remain cleared, the compatibility should be reduced to 25% from 50% as there are four stages to clear before the final conflict. The compatibility percentage indicates how close it is to working well, not how much of the game you can play. At some po...

Re: Where can I find extensive documentation on Cine & G

I'd quite like to learn more about the scripting in the Cine and Gob engines next but the wiki doesn't appear to have as much (if any) info on them as with SCI/AGI. Is such documentation available elsewhere or is it a closely guarded secret between the ScummVM dev team? :p Alas, for most of our eng...

Seems that Asus has messed up the back button on your device. Maybe there is a way to configure it so that it does not quit the app? I shouldn't post without enough coffee. :-) I should have said: I think people have done it on a TF300T, which I assume is the same device. So it seems strange that t...

You can't just hit the back button to exit the scene? I think people have successfully completed Sam and Max without problems.

You can't use the .bin files from the stable download. As digitall said, you need a development testing build.

It looks like no-one's reported the details for the Mac version of 1.0 before.

Could you file a bug report if possible? I'll try and remember to add this anyway but it's easy for forum posts to get forgotten, unfortunately. :(

Re: Touchmod not detecting engines

I'm running (trying) the touchmod Scummvm on a Galaxy S3 but it refuses to detect the scumm engine and so it won't detect the games. I've uninstalled everything and re-installed in the correct order, app then engine, and am using the engine that came with touchmod but I still get no luck. Have been...

We think we know what's wrong now, but the trivial fix didn't work, so it'll have to wait for a developer with an iPhone/iPad to find some more time to look at it. I think most games should work on the iOS build nowadays, with the exception of some the 16-bit SCUMM/HE games which don't work in the 5...
