Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?

Loved to see that work is being done for the Star Trek games. Always loved those.

SDL 2.0.6 and sound problems

If anyone is experiencing choppy/popping sound on recent builds is due to SDL 2.0.6. It has sound issues with most software that relies on it (Stella Atari emulator and ECWolf port also had major sound problems, no problems with SDL_PoP). Reverting to 2.0.5 should fix it.

The Floppy version has no speech at all and the exact same music as the CD version.

FITD code in ResidualVM

Hello, First post here. I became familiar with ResidualVM from ScummVM. It works great with Grim Fandango. I read that there is a work-in-progress regarding Free In The Dark inside ResidualVM. I became very interested in it since FITD crashes 99% of the times whenever I try to run AITD 1 with it, bo...

The Macintosh version has graphical inventory, which DOS-CD version has too. The DOS VGA disk version has text inventory. They also sound very differently under scummvm. Macintosh version also seems to look brighter, while some colours in DOS VGA version seem washed-out.

I guess it would not be so simple to support it, since the .exe file is the only data found in the game's folder, at least on the DOS version.

The game is completable with minor issues.
I experienced a crash in Burger World while going in the back to get the spatula and the mouse.
I couldn't find a way to get to the menus while playing to save/load or quit.

I'm also experiencing problems with OpenGL. The games run but the screen is blank all the time. I'm on Windows 7 32 bits.

I understand it, Seldon. If I were a programmer I would help to make desires come true, believe me, and I would have a better idea on how busy the developers actually are to make their best efforts.

I'm far from being a programmer, but the game itself shows lots of similarities with scumm games, specially Full Throttle. Just take a look at their command menus, inventory, maps, side games... If their animation weren't so different, I'd say Beavis & Butthead used the scumm engine.

Darkseed (again)

Hello,
For those who have been wishing to add the game to ScummVM, you can reach Mike Dawson himself here: http://www.programgames.com/home.html
I've already tried contacting him but haven't got answered yet. Maybe someone else will have better luck, I hope.
