Try setting the SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE env var to 0 (see also here around 0:32).

PBuffers and the texture rectangle extension might be alternatives. And since we know which rectangles have been updated, we don't need to upload the full texture each frame. Do you mean using "texSubImage2D" ? But, it's as slow as uploading the full texture. What am I missing ? No, the G...

Sounds like a problem loading the modern theme.

Can you try deleting both the scummmodern.zip file and scummmodern directory see if it runs then? And additionally, also try with both of them present (perhaps you forgot to copy one or the other?)

Did you also remove scummvm.ini in the root of the memory stick?

I've never used 5.0 M-33, but I assume that the modern theme did work initially?

Ah, very disappointing, but at least there's closure now. Would be nice to get that Dutch MI1 & Indy 4 translated text to do an 'inofficial' version, but I'm not holding my breath. ;) Given the MDS ad, Nicoenb's statement, and Tony's insistence - I still believe that a Dutch Lure was actually so...

I just dug up my Indy4 CD, which was distributed by Homesoft as well, and even though the box and manual are completely localised to Dutch, there is no mention of the game itself being available in Dutch, or the ability to trade it in. The manual does mention 6 people for a "Nederlandse versie&...

Holy crap. I had never heard of those. Given that in all the time I've been hanging around ScummVM I've never heard anyone mention these, they are indeed extremely rare, if they even made it to production at all (which this ad implies). I would call Homesoft for details, but I think they are no long...

As a workaround, you could add/edit

Code: Select all

browser_lastpath=/home/username/.scummvm
to your ~/.scummvmrc

then when you next try to "add" a game, it will start in that directory.

You'll need to change the 'savepath' in the launcher, as it no longer defaults to ms0:/scummvm_savegames.

If you point it there it should pick up your old saves.

I think it's safe to say that it will never be supported by ScummVM.

The engine is completely different from that of PC Broken Sword, and it would be a *lot* of work to support this vastly inferior version.
