Since there is no problem running the SE on modern system, why would you need ScummVM to support them? The list of supported platforms is significantly longer for ScummVM than it is for either Special Edition. The latter don't even include a single non-proprietary desktop OS. And "modern"...

i think the problem is because of the pregap every audio CD has before a track. Making a gapless copy, or one with custom length pregaps, is far from impossible. And isn't the pregap supposed to be taken into account only when track change occurs naturally from track to track, not when skipping to ...

If you can position your character freely in the scene you wish to capture, you could record the sequence twice with the character standing in different positions, and then crop and combine the frames to get a scene without it.

What do you know, it worked! Kinda lost faith a couple of times during the process of obtaining the game. Now what's left is to see if it still works after uninstalling all the accompanying nonsense.
