freetype support is fixed now in sources, you can rebuild it

download new binary, it should be fixed now

open Terminal and run commands:
cd /Applications/ResidualVM.app/Contents/MacOS
./residualvm

strange, can you run from terminal and paste error message here ?

and next time please use report issue on "bug reports" (link on website)

adding freetype into bundle is not solved yet.
you can disable freetype for now by removing line in config.h:
#define USE_FREETYPE2

run configure with --with-staticlib-prefix=/opt/local

I voted one...but it depends really. How long would we have to wait for residual.org to become freely available? It may take years, "reseller" holds for sale, and they want $8000 :? so we may wait long time until will be droped or even never have chance to take it. Otoh residual-project.o...
