Re: Any update on shaders?
Most of these shaders are too aggressive for my taste. I'll look into improving support in ScummVM, the guy from that Github fork did an exceedingly good job in integrating this feature properly with the backend. Thanks, it is great to know there is interest in pursuing this further. :) This is the...

Thanks for raising the ticket. I should have done that last year rather than resurrect the old thread.vanfanel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 12:01 pm This is the issue, so anybody can take a look at how it progresses:

Re: Space Quest 1 VGA Remake: MAC version music, is it right?
@ZvikaZ: I have tried with latest GIT version, and it sounds the same as stable 2.1.1, so I am opening that issue. Thanks! In the meantime, if anyone wants a copy of ScummVM patched with the sound fix (version 1.10) send me a PM. It works fine with all the Mac SCI games supported, but there will be...

Re: Any update on shaders?
For now you can use Reshade if you set the graphics mode to OpenGL. I've already posted a config for CMI here: https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?p=88204#p88204 Thank you, but can Reshade work on macOS? It appears to use .fx files which I thought are Direct 3D only. I have tried applying your...

Any update on shaders?
I have searched for an update on possible future inclusion of shader support in ScummVM. Most of the posts are 3 to 8 years old and not much seems to be on the horizon. That being said, I tracked down a CRT emulation branch and tested it out in macOS. It is enabled with the command crt_shader=true. ...

Re: SC-55 MkII & macOS
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/cpmh0052/mac I think the socket can be used for either, haven't got a mac to test myself; but some googling seems to suggest this is the case. Thanks Tom. Thank you - I managed to resolve the problem in an unexpectedly simple way. I noticed that the ex...

SC-55 MkII & macOS
I am seeking some help with getting a Roland SC-55 MkII working properly with ScummVM in macOS. I have it partially working, but not in the manner I expected. The SC-55 is connected to a 2019 iMac via a Roland UM-ONE Mk2 USB MIDI adapter. The drivers installed fine and I tested the functionality via...

Re: Zak McKracken VGA Talkie?
Perhaps it is just a misunderstanding based on the fact that the original LucasArts FM Towns games were released on CD media, and around the same time LucasArts began porting its adventure games to CD-ROM as talkies for PC. So for those unfamiliar with the history of FM Towns, it might lead to confu...

Re: Zak McKracken VGA Talkie?
There was never a version of this game with speech. The 2015 GOG release includes the original DOS version in EGA and also the 1991 FM Towns version with VGA graphics and “higher-quality music and sound effects”. If I remember correctly, the first LucasArts games with full voice overs were released ...

Re: No music on Mixed-Up Mother Goose VGA CD
My copy is one of those discounted “Slash” releases from the late 90s, although the CD is printed with a release date of 1992. It is funny because it looks like an original CD from the early 90s, but Sierra is misspelled as Bierra, so I realized something was amiss. It is still a legit copy of the g...

Re: No music on Mixed-Up Mother Goose VGA CD
I experienced the same issue in ScummVM 2.1.0.
No music will play, although the digitized speech is fine. I tested with default settings and also with overrides for Adlib and MT-32.
The VGA floppy disk version works fine, so only the CD-ROM release appears to be affected.

Re: Macintosh music in SCI games
Yes, I am re-opening an old post. However, I wanted to check on the status of this issue. Macintosh music in the Sierra SCI games still does not sound right, even in ScummVM 2.1. The sci_sound fork is still available, and works perfectly, but it builds into ScummVM 1.10.0. So there is a choice betwe...
