I will try the Infernal Machine game, it is a bit hard to get running on XP so far...crashes after start up. You know, I used to have the same problem a couple of years ago - but I found a solution. What you've got to do is, open Windows Media Player before you run the game. Don't play any music, j...

Yeah, Infernal Machine has voice but it's not a point-and-click. I'm reasonably certain they got the same guy to do the voice in all the talkie Indy games, too, which gives them a bit of continuity.

The Hugo trilogy already runs in windows. You wouldn't need ScummVM to run it anyway. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in the world runs Windows. :) Well, Linux users can use Wine...and if you've got a Mac...well, if you bought a Mac then you obviously didn't buy it to play games on, bahaha...

You know, that's a good point. When I play Zork I want it to look like it's 1981...If ScummVM can't reproduce it faithfully, then it might as well not It's a pity Vista won't let me fullscreen the WinFrotz interpreter (or anything else command-prompty) I use.

Cool. I remember years ago when they said it would never happen! Wouldn't it be hilarious if ScummVM ended up becoming an OS to rival Windows and Linux in like 50 years?

The real question is...how long before ScummVM becomes self-aware and starts absorbing other projects on its own?

Ugh...I get the feeling that they know they've produced garbage and have thrown Fate of Atlantis in there (which requires very little effort on their part) to try to sweeten the deal and get the nostalgia flowing.

See they've apparently cancelled the Xbox / PS3 versions of the new Indiana Jones game now too, and are focussing solely on the Wii version. I can't see the logic behind this personally (although no doubt someone will set me straight), it seems as if they're deliberately trying to lose money.

They think it won't sell, and they're probably right. Adventure games still make money but they're not the cash-spinners they used to be back in the day...why put money into a project that might sell when they can spin out another shallow, boring Star Wars game they know they'll profit from?

Cool! I still have my copy around here somewhere. I remember playing it on my old Packard Bell back in the early 90s and it was like 'Holy crap! the future is here!' etc...
