Well, the classics are fairly different from the newer titles, I don't know how cross-compatible you could make the engine, could you make one that can run such different versions? Maybe. I've seen a few other engines do it. (Off the top of my head, AGS, Mohawk, AGI)

The engine is hardcoded to play the data back as 11khz wav. Later versions, like in Pajama Sam's Games to Play, use the Miles engine to play back higher quality files, and presumably you could put any data in those files. Well, I got it working, simply by recopying the files. This demo does weird things! When the interactive portion is finished, it deletes half the game data files! What's going on? Oh well.
