Please DON'T put it in the registry.

This is a mess to handle, edit, adminster, and backup...  :!:

BTW: Even if ScummVM.ini for paths to the installed games is applied by the user who is installing (and therefore administrator) - common to all, the savegames belong to the currently logged in user, so they should be saved accordingly. Look for GTA III for example: It stores savegames in %HOMEPATH%...

I don't really know since I don't run Windows, but I think the most common symptom was that ScummVM would crash for some when entering the SCUMM Bar. Possibly because that's one of the first places where you're likely to hear music after the intro. Okay. But is something known about the cause?! Whe...

Works fine for me using Firefox 1.5 Weird. I've got FF 1.5, too, and Flash Player 8 (which works on other sites). :( maybe he means "windows only"? Couldn't get flash to display in linux yet No, I meant IE-only, as my IE displays it correctly. BTW: FF 1.0.7 on Gentoo Linux displays it als...

I've got 3 screens, so I could do.
But I'm pretty sure that this would result in changing the SDL-code first. :?

I guess 32bit would give the subjective feeling you run in some kind of compatibility mode You ARE running in "some kind of compatibility mode" actually: The WoW64-Layer. I'd also like a 64-Bit build for my Win64, also I must admit that I don't see any real advantages with a low-tech-app ...

Note that playing the CD version of Monkey Island 1 directly from the CD is known to cause trouble, at least under Windows. Apparently it doesn't like both reading data and playing CD music from the same CD, at the same time. I read that some times now about a strange old Windows(tm) bug. Is there ...

Where did it hang?

As ScummVM should be a plain 32-Bit app it should work flawlessy under XP64.

ScummVM doesn't use any system drivers, so what was the problem exactly? :?:

I'm not sure whether SDL supports Multi-Monitoring or whether it just uses the primary device for window-creation and graphics. If it supports it, the ScummVM had to program this feature of SDL in, so you could use it. I don't think that this is the case or that this is a high-priority. ;) Maybe the...

They complain "Flash Player 6 required.", although I got 8.
Let me guess: The reincarnation of LA is IE-only?!

EDIT: It really is... WTF?!? :?:

Okay, the fix for the DirectX trouble is pretty easy:

I just activated/enabled the "Alternate Pixel Center" option in the DirectX graphics driver controls, et voila: The issue is gone.

Maybe this helps new forum members, too. :)

You tried both, DirectX and OpenGL? Also some graphic boards may require to set to 16 or 32 bit manually (within the launcher), try them as well! Oahh.. I didn't realize that there is a OpenGL mode for EMI. Well, starting EMI with "monkey4.exe -gl" parameter works fine, thanks! Here is an...

Hello glokidd! Thank you really for helping me, but I am not a newbie at this. (I am just asking myself how to not sounding snotnosed while making this clear. :? ) Of course I've got SP2 and I already used the "compatiblity mode" to get EMI running at all. (I think they did not use ...

Sorry for offtopic: I just wanted to know how it is to play those adventures on game consoles (like PSP, Dreamcast, whatever)!?? Isn't it quite "wrong" steering the mouse cursor with the pad? Really, is there an alternate GUI for ScummVM on those things? If not, is it a pain in the...
