Re: FOTAQ: Saving on S60

On my Nokia E60 it works like this: Select the character (displayed in that small, white box) by pressing number keys (maybe repeatedly), then press the left softkey to put that character into the active text box. Repeat this for any char you want to enter. And afterwards, press "1" for &q...

Well, I don't want to brag here, since I don't have a poof like a savegame. But I have finished Sam&Max on my Nokia E60 some time ago (see post somewhere in the forum). I was then using the small, non-scaled, stamp sized resolution of 320x200 then, which is quite quick. Maybe my trick may help y...

While playing Atlantis (Indy 4) on a Nokia E60, I experienced some cursor (and overall) delays when using the upscaled full screen mode. The slowdowns did not occur in the whole game, but only in about half of the scenes, the other half running at normal speed. When I got impatient from time to time...

There already is support for 352x416. I have been using this full screen resolution on my E60 for quite a while.

Try the upscale mode (keys 0+4), if the orientation is wrong, try 0+2 or 0+3 keys. Have a look at the wiki for the meaning of these keys.

Strange. In my Maniac Mansion (German/DOS/V2) there IS a verb "Person" in the Command Area, which allows to swap the characters.

In some situations it is enough to start ScummVM and drag the cursor from far left to the right in the launcher. Then ScummVM exits. After restarting ScummVM, same problem. After a phone restart it always works fine again. So far I have no idea what the reason for that is, bad phone's memory managem...

Hmm. While the latest svn build (of 060611) was very stable on my Nokia E60, the current release build crashes from time to time and I am also able to reproduce some crash when vertical srolling should take place. The scummvm-060611-SymbianS60v3_scumm.sis version handles this version without problem...

Re: Nokia E70

First, what do you mean by "applications within ScummVM"? Other applications and ScummVM? Scumm-games? what's the matter with it? is it because of the new symbian os 9.1? The Nokia E70 needs the Series 60 3rd edition build. I'm using that build (scummvm-060611-SymbianS60v3_scumm.sis) on my...

Don't know if it useful for your general test, but anyway: :D Completed and no noticable bugs: Sam & Max (German/CD) without .sou files installed (no speech) on ScummVM Symbian S60 3rd build (...-scumm from 06-05-04). Completed with minor animation glitches also mentioned by glokidd earlier: Zak...

Well. Switching characters, but not implemented, yet - that was also my conclusion. :-D About key-remapping: Could it be possible to map keys to keys like "Start call (green)", "End call (red)", "edit (little pencil)", "joystick center"? On my E60 I was not ab...

Swap character key

Hi, what is the function of the "swap character" key that can be mapped in the key mapping dialogue? My first thought was that it could be used to change the active character/person, but when I tried that in Maniac Mansion and in Zak, nothing happened. I also had a look into the source cod...

I just say.. press '0'+'2' again. You are running in a landscape downscaled and upstretched mode, and that should n't really be there as only one scaling is needed. Yes, good point. I should have tried this before -- stupid me! "Downscaled and then upscaled" does not sound good! :) The &q...

Hi Anotherguest, nice job! I like the new scale mode. :D However, I had to use some workarounds to use it in landscape mode: First, switch the phone's display to landscape with the builtin function. Then in ScummVM switch to "portrait mode" (twice 0+2), then scale it to fit the whole scree...

Well, the E60 has a default resolution of width=352,height=416. This is the resolution I use for the 320x200 games (twice 0+2 pressed), since it almost fits in width. The only reason for changing to an upscaled landscape mode could be the small size of the area used by scummvm on this display which ...

Maybe at least you should be able to use one of the 320x200 (original resolution of the games !!) modes pressing 0+2 once or twice. On my Nokia E60 the 320x200 portrait uses about half the screen height of the 352x416 and nearly the whole width. ... it was enough to play through the whole Sam&Ma...
