But appearantly it wasn't a problem for adventures like broken sword.. which was also a success (for an adventuregame)on the consoles.. Never having played BS on a console I can't really comment on how it actually plays. But if i remember it right, BF was created for PC and later ported to console?...

hippy dave wrote:so when's scummvm going to support tales of monkey island?
I guess you are just trying to be funny.. because it will not be supported as it is 3D, AND even if scummvm would support 3D they would definitly not get permission...

here a direct link to the telltale site: http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland Only problem I have with it, is the episodic gaming.. Just make 1 game instead of these stupid episodes which means I have to wait a long time before the whole game is finished.. but glad to hear the original creators...

What engine would you recommend to create authoring tools for? Or more importantly which engine is legal to create tools for? I guess none, except if you write your own... Maybe the engine from BrokenSword wouldn't be a problem.. But then again, since ScummVM is opensource you could just use an eng...

Re: There's also...

On the topic though, I'd be ecstatic at having a way to produce SCUMM-style (looks and function, not technology) games on a Mac that can be played, cross-platform, on something like ScummVM without me having to learn how to actually program from scratch. AGS has a version that works on a Mac and a ...

Broken Sword 2.5 would also be cool. (Despite it being a fangame) As far as I know Broken Sword 2.5 was made using AGS, and AGS isn't likely to be supported by Scummvm because it still has active development... Would be great if Chris Jones would merge AGS with Scummvm (or would let the older engin...

Looks great, but it definitly needs more work as CPU usage is way too high I guess, considering other commercial companies have virtualinstruments running with more different racks running concurringly.. But then again I haven't got a clue what kind of computer the youtube-example was running on. Bu...

Well that is a matter of opinion, I manage quite well with my 2.8 inch, 240 X 320 QVGA screen on my phone. Many of the games supported in scummVM were made for this resolution, and there are limits to what scalers achieve when displaying such games on large wide-screen monitors. Personally I hate g...

There are lots of Lighthouse sellers on Ebay. I can recommend to anyone who loves Myst. I even saw lighthouse in a Mediamarkt in our city, but I didn't buy it because I heard loose disks inside the sealed package, and that can not be a good sign for such an old game.. but maybe I'll buy it anyway a...

Amazon isn't ebay.... Yes, sorry, I misread that. One reason I got them confused is that both eBay and Amazon have a seller named "dvdjoneslocker" who is selling the game. I guess it's the same seller.. and looking at ebay it's definitly the butterfly version.. So there's no way you can g...

That image of a hand holding a CD that they're using seems to be the hallmark of Butterfly Media though, which has a bad reputation . Amazon isn't ebay.... I was going to suggest contacting Housemarque, glad you had already done so. Bit of a pity about the response though. I wonder if they would co...

Well, this isn't a game that is hard to come by I guess, just checked amazon.co.uk and it is still available from 3 sellers as new sealed games with the highest being 7.50 pound (excluding the 3.16 pound postage in the UK).. Just checked a version from an abandonware site, couldn't get it started vi...
