PS3Linux will probably not be needed anymore soon, since the PS3 has recently been hacked to support homebrew binaries.
At least that's what I hope... I didn't want to be stuck on 3.15 forever and updated just a few days ago.

Mistic Software and the lawsuit

Hi, I don't know if I get this right: There's this company who takes ScummVM, removes all the copyright notices (well, most of them aparently) and sells it as their own? And yet when they are confronted with the facts, they still deny that they infringed upon any copyright? How is this possible? I m...

I just watched the E3 trailers. This is so full of win that I can hardly await getting my hands on that game :)

I dumped my own cartridges, its not something your average user would manage though. The equipment is quite expensive too. I dumped EPROMS on a prototype board connected to the LPT port on my PC. It took about four 74xx chips and a 5V power supply. Not exactly "expensive", but not for eve...

I completely agree with Fingolfin here. "Porting" to ScummVM will not make dead projects magically alive again :) However, having those project based on a common engine (be it ScummVM or something else) would ease the task for people who might want to take over and/or revive the project ag...

...Plus, there are a lot of p^c adventure games I would rather see supported before arcade games make it into the mix:) I fully agree with you there. I, too, still have some fond memories of other good adventure games that have not been reverse engineered yet. However, this is not a question of &qu...

...There's nothing better than having one 'frontend/engine' for all your (old) games for almost any platform you can think of... I completely agree with you there. Having all kinds of engines in one place would be the "best" solution for users (and probably for developers, because the OSy...

I would really like to see LBA running on Linux, using the ScummVM engine. But I also think that it wouldn't fit into the main ScummVM trunk. That's why somebody should take ScummVM, create a new project based on it (i.e. "GameVM" or whatever) and gather all the hard work people do by crea...

I will try installing it tonight. Thanks for the quick addition into the source code. But now I remember why I didn't play this game back at the time I got it: The translation is horrible: who translated "the sign" in the first screen (referring to a signpost) into "das Zeichen"?...

Extra scene? Wow, I didn't know that.

Is there a bootparam to skip directly to that scene? Or does one really have to play it through?

Nice timing :) I had a similar problem last weekend when I tried playing through Zak once again. I remember from the original (played it on C64 many years ago) that you really could take your time in the plane. On ScummVM, however, I barely managed to flood the toilet when the plane landed. --Darkstar

The music from the Touhou games is very nice too, although I'm probably the only one here who knows them ;) Are you talking about the PC-98 games (Tōhō Kaikidan, etc) from Amusement Makers? Great FM tunes indeed. Exactly. Although it's quite difficult to get these running on a mod...
