I was thinking about a couple different game console ports, and they don't have any vorbis support.

Could you give me the contact info?

Nobody is stealing my work (I don't think you can steal a concept), people are abusing ScummVM and the commercial games it supports, it's nothing new - it's just a sad reflection of things in general. Unfortunately copyright infringement (piracy) is a part & parcel part of this digital world, I...

I am not a coder so I couldn't point you to the exact file to modify, I'd start with the md5 detection routine to begin with though. You could try counting the visible characters on the DC screen and submitting a bug report (asking to rename the game titles to the character limit for the Dreamcast ...

A fix for that little problem would be recompiling the source to display game titles that are within the Dreamcast frontend character limitations. An alternative work around end user fix would be to hex edit the ScummVM binary to display the names you wanted on screen (again, within the frontend ch...

The thing is even after starting the command prompt (cmd.exe), you still have to "browse" to the folder containing the compression tool. This might help with that: Right click into some empty space in the folder containing the compression tool, select "new > shortcut", type in lo...

Just do what I do, and use Universal Extractor to extract the "exe" installer. I use uniextract a lot as it allows some programs to be run off a flash drive, without it being entered into the PC's registry. Extract the executable, and ScummVM will be found in the "{app}" folder. ...

I haven't been using ScummVM long enough to realize that the game paths cold be set by using the scummvm.ini. I recently requested a similar idea over on the tracker here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2820182&group_id=37116&atid=418823 Maybe someone else could submit a...

Converting FLAC to MP3 help?

Hi there. I'm attempting to convert the Drascula TVSB flac files into mp3s for a port that doesn't support ogg. The thing is that I thought the flac files would be a better conversion source than the ogg provided, for a higher quality mp3 output result. After trying to use the latest version of LAME...

If you succeed and want to help out, you could then describe here what you did, step-by-step -- we could then add this to the Wiki. Sure, anything I can do to help short of monetary contribution as I am currently short on funds. Problem is that the link provided above doesn't work, and the only sou...

Compiling the Dreamcast port?

Has anyone here had any experience compiling the Dreamcast ScummVM? If you click on the following link you can see that the "building the libraries" section has a "todo" message. http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Compiling_ScummVM/Dreamcast If someone could provide me with step-b...

Well it was the casual way you asked to create a disc with all of the most popular Lucasarts games, with the added combination of a extremely rare FM-Towns game that made me suspicious. Like it says above create a main folder; Example - "ScummVM". Place the "scummvm.bin", and the...
