Sure, given that the skill of finding a forum has little to do with the skill of developing... While the skill of managing to find a bug tracker has quite a bit to do with the skill of being able to read the instructions for reporting a bug... ;).

True :). Anyway, thanks for the reports, much appreciated. I have once more contacted the iPhone porter by email, too (pointing him to this thread). I had written him previously due to some other bug reports, but sadly so far haven't got a reply.

Actually, yeah, I indeed think that lesson is more important :). As a rule of thumb, if somebody can't find the bug tracker, then they likely can't write a useful bug report either :).

Actually, filing a single bug report in this case would have been just fine.

First of, it's sad to hear that the release version has such troubles. We were asking for testers for weeks, and apparently nobody was willing to beta test the iPhone builds before the release :/. Secondly, the bug tracker is a place for *all* bugs. Contrary to what you say, the bigger the bug is, t...

You read the forum rules, which point that out. Or you go to our main web site, and click on the "Bug Tracker" link the navigation menu.

We already resolved this shortly after my posting; the former Windows porter send us the missing tools installer scripts, and we now can create a Windows tools installer again. It's just that nobody has yet used that to actually make a Windows tools installer, it seems... Not sure why, but I am quit...

Just to clear this up: I re-enabled the daily development builds only yesterday. So two days ago, the link you are talking about did not exist :).

During release cycles, we only provide test builds for the new release (1.3.0 in this case). We have not yet resumed providing test builds from the development (=master) branch, but will soon.

Hu? What does WebOS have to do with the Nintendo DS port? Nothing, I'd say... Your post is very confusing... Anyway, if you meant to ask whether there will be an official 1.3.0 package for Nintendo DS: Yes, there will be, agentq / Neil just has been busy and so it is running late. Hopefully it'll be...

The daily compiled build for ScummVM on Windows is still there. No such things for the tools, though, we are not providing any daily builds for them anymore right now. But they should eventually return, but then for more platforms. I have no idea about the 1.3.0 Windows Tools installer. I think the ...

First off: I am not sure why the daily builds currently disable the console. At least from my perspective, they shouldn't do that right now. So I'd call this a bug. However, the long-term plan is to disable the console (which is confusing to new users) by default, but having an option to enable it a...

Hi there,
I tried to make the text on http://buildbot.scummvm.org/builds.html a bit clearer. If you can think of further ways to make it easier to find the daily builds, or if you can explain where exactly the current setup got you confused, please let us know.

The requirements would go way up for most games. Or code is not at all trying to be "more efficient", to the contrary: Original engines often sacrificed portability in order to squeeze the last drip of performance out of the underlying hardware. Weird tricks and hacks were employed to save...
