Yes, ScummVM will launch on the device, but can you add games/folders?

I've previously tried this and if you weren't jailbroken then it simply crashed when it tried to browse the filesystem to add the games.

If I remember correctly, I was able to get ScummVM codesigned and running my iPad Air 2 and it launches perfectly. The problem is that the file management system expects to have full access to the file system and when you go to add any games it crashes. I think if this part was modified that it woul...

Anybody running ScummVM on a non-jailbreak iPad?

I've downloaded the latest iPhone build from the buildbot server, created and IPA, and signed it with my developer certificate. It installs fine on my iPad and even starts up but, when if I click [Add Game] it crashes and if I change any settings (i.e. default renderer) it doesn't save the changes. ...

I'm having the same problem (immediately crashes after opening). You mentioned using a development build so I'm going to have to check that out. Is that what fixes it? EDIT: How do you install the development build? I've downloaded it and found Scummvm.app. Do I just overwrite my Scummvm.app folder ...

iPad jailbreak released!

The iPad (and iPhone 3.1.3) jailbreak has just been released :)

I'm really, really hoping that ScummVM is updated for the larger screen. This would be the PERFECT device for it!

Yeah, I don't think it's a problem but I was having a bit of trouble with the mode switching combinations. Holding a finger + swipe left to right (eg. touchpad mode) seems to work good and fairly consistent. However, the F5/menu toggle (eg. hold finger + swipe top to bottom) sometimes toggles the to...

Ahh, OK. I see what you're saying.

However, if you don't use touchscreen mode (in COMI) then isn't it difficult to see what's under your finger? (eg. the pop-up circle with the talk, inspect, etc, options)

You can use touchpad mode along side of click-and-drag, right? Would you suggest this for COMI?

Also, does anybody really use non-touchpad mode? It seems very hard to click on tiny objects but it does make it easier to move the characters around the screen...

Tips for using ScummVM on the iPhone? (re: controls)

One last question from me regarding ScummVM for the iPhone. Before I bought my iPhone this was really the one "killer app" that I couldn't wait to use but after using it I'm having a little difficulty with the controls. I know several modes are available (eg. touchpad, click-and-drag, etc)...

Does compression give better performance for the iPhone?

I've started playing with ScummVM on my iPhone 3G (v2.2) and I've noticed that some games stutter a bunch and I'm wondering if performance would be increased with smaller/compressed files.

Is there a general rule for this?

Thanks.

I think the actual problem was that I had to enable Mouse click-and-drag support (which I guess I had disabled?).

Anyways, it's working now. Thanks!

How do I play Curse of Monkey Island? (controls problem)

I've read the wiki article on the iPhone and I've read all the controls but I can't figure out how to perform any actions at all (except moving around). For example, in the very first scene of the game with Wally, how do you talk to him? On the PC you hold the left-mouse button down and select the p...

Excellent! Thanks!

Is the sound working too?

I can't wait to try this out! My only concern is the "small" screen and selecting tiny objects might be difficult but I haven't read how this port works yet so I'm sure I'll figure it out.
