The DSi screens are the same resolution as the DS/DS Lite's (256x192), they're just larger by a quarter of an inch.

The best point of hope right now seems to be the DSi. If anyone can get homebrew to run in native DSi mode rather than compatibility mode, the extra CPU speed (133 MHz vs. 66 MHz) and RAM (16MB vs. 4MB) might be enough to get the newer SCUMM games to run.

It makes very little sense for a company to sell off IPs unless they're strapped for cash. And I somehow doubt that's true for LucasArts.

I wouldn't hold my breath on anything new coming out. LucasArts has traditionally been very protective of its IPs.

Emulation usually requires a lot more resources. Not to mention that, besides emulating the game's original OS, you'd also have to emulate the original hardware platform. 68000 CPU and AmigaOS for an Amiga game. x86 CPU and DOS for DOS games, etc. Using that method would also make it virtually impos...

DOSbox is an emulator, so you have to use the game's built-in save feature.

Figured it out. The global "extrapath" was set to an empty directory. Once I removed that setting from the ini it picked up the MP3 files.

The question remains why it picked up the OGG files before, but not the MP3s.

Apparently it won't use the MP3 tracks at all. If I remove them completely, it still plays the same (wrong) music.

Monkey Island 1 -- CD track oddity?

I've noticed that, when using MP3-encoded versions of the CD audio tracks, the Wii version of ScummVM 0.12 will always play back the wrong audio tracks. This does not appear to happen in the Win32 version of 0.12, nor will it happen with Vorbis files in the Wii version. Has anyone else noticed this ...

Do you absolutely need a daily build or are the 0.12 tools sufficiently up to date?

Is there a good argument against the Homebrew Channel and for putting the extra strain on the Wii port coders to come up with their own launcher?

ScummVM's cursor movement seems to be more direct than that of the Wii system menu. As such, you have to hold your hand more steady and aim more carefully.

Maybe a sensitivity adjustment would be a good feature for those who prefer a less jittery cursor.

Check that your files are named correctly, it should be "Track1.mp3" through "Track24.mp3". No spaces, no leading zeroes.
