Shoot... unless you'd like to test to see whether the official webos port does that, I'm afraid I don't know *nearly* enough about scumm/scummvm to address that one yet. I'm just getting my feet wet with the control scheme :). On the up side, though, it looks like I'll be able to get an Escape gestu...

Thanks for the bug report! Two questions:
1. Is that an error that you also have with the nexapps fork posted earlier in the thread?
2. If no, are any of your sound/music files compressed into flac format?

Alright guys, be kind -- my C++ is rusty and this is my first time compiling anything on webOS. I took the nexapps fork above and made a few really really simple tweaks (we're talking, I changed all of about 2 characters in the source code). I'd like to do a little more development in the future to ...

Moving to Linux fixed it. My Mac's gcc was version 4.2.1, arm gcc was 4.3.3. No worries :). My compiled version didn't feel like launching in the emulator, but I'll grapple with that when I get home later. It seems like the big hurdles are covered, though!

Well excellent, then! Thanks, md5 :)

My compile broke on the libtucker plugin with

Code: Select all

install: illegal option -- t
but I'm sure it's nothing library-related. I'm going to switch over to Linux and hopefully I can get these gestures to stop triggering unintentionally :)

Thanks for your help!

Ha, not bad at all ;-). Do you fine gentlemen keep an index of what engines/game versions depend on what sound libraries? I'm cool with going that route as long as it doesn't kill off too many games.

I never went the route of trying to disable it, since it's listed as required on the compile guide. I figured that would definitely break :). I can give it a shot, but since it's on the compile guide I can't help but think someone must have had some luck with it. There are a handful of sound librari...

Anyone have issues setting up the dev environment?

I'm going a bit crazy, here. I've forked ScummVM to play a bit with alternative controls and graphics tweaks to more fully support the HP Touchpad, but I'm getting hung up on dependencies. Specifically, flac. Flac hasn't had an update in quite awhile, so I'm afraid the newer versions of arm-none-lin...

You can definitely use that logic -- however at the same time, you have to remove the DRM from the executable, resign the code, and declare a SignerIdentity in the Info.plist file. By the time you do that you may as well have used SSH or iPhoneBrowser :)

I hope you are right. The only thing that would change that is that the AppStore apps seems to be so easy to crack. As it's a big revenue source for Apple I am sure they will do all they can to plug the hole. And possibly make it even harder to jailbreak. But I am speculating. //Rob I have a bit of...

It sounds like you two just need to enable Click+Drag mode. It's a mode that sends a click as soon as your finger pressed down, and releases whenever you lift your finger. Put one finger on the screen and swipe another finger UP to toggle it. And apologies, Vinter -- I didn't realize you got COMI wo...

I'm really liking touchpad mode. It's a little hard to get used to, but once you do, it's fantastic. I think what was messing me up the most playing fotaq is that I'd use the touchpad for the game area but for some reason kept insisting on tapping the actions I wanted directly ;-) It makes me curiou...

Working great here so far! I couldn't ESC out of the intro sequence in FOTAQ, but that's probably a pre-existing thing. Not a big deal anyway :)

Great work!

Also-- I noticed Telesphorio listed your source :) Very nice.
