wannabe dev help

It may be just me, but I find it hard to start helping with ScummVM. You can't modify the code directly (that's a good thing) but it's unclear to me how to help coding. We have the SF patchtracker, feature tracker and bug tracker. But als the forum, scumm-dev mailinglist and IRC channel. And simplex...

Simon the Sorcerer's Puzzle Pack - NoPatience

I played all 4 games for a while, managed to finish 2 of them. Encountered one serious bug while playing "One Foundation Patience". After using the Undo button in this game nothing works anymore except Ctrl-F5 for the ScummVM menu. Entered is bug #2865191. Windows XP SP3 ScummVM 1.0.0rc143...

The "send meteor in trunk into space" path? Is that a valid path?

I got rid of purple tentacle by giving green tentacle a record contract. The meteor was rid of by sending into space using the rocket car.

In case no one has a clue about what I am talking about : From the readme.txt 3.2) Commodore64 games notes: ---- ------------------------ Both Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken run but Maniac Mansion is not yet playable. Simply name the D64 disks "maniac1.d64" and "maniac2.d64" re...

Maniac Mansion v1

I tested Maniac Mansion v1 all day today and although I encountered a couple of weird things it plays fine and is completable. The 2 things I would like to mention (not sure if they are bug-report worthy); - several times during testing my F5 (ScummVM's Load/Save) key didn't trigger ScummVM's Load/S...

As a test, I just tried it myself, added the c64 md5sum to the detection table and compiled a new version. This version detected the extracted version of C64 flawless and ran perfectly.

I could file a bug report (or patch) if it's helpfull. The md5 I used :

The extracted V1-C64 version of Zak McKracken

What exactly is the reason the extracted version of Zak McKracken isn't properly detected? If I extract the files, and start it ScummVM reports this is an unknown version of the game. Isn't it just a matter of adding the MD5 to the detection table?

Sounds to me that ScummVM can't find your game anymore. Perhaps you removed the CD containing the Sam & Max game?

Simon the Sorcerer's Puzzle Pack

I played all 16 puzzles from Jumble without problem. There's no high-score saving/typing but that's a known issue. Also toyed around with D.I.M.P. for a few minutes but couldn't find any goal or ending in this game. It plays fine I guess. Windows XP SP3 ScummVM 1.0.0rc143718 (Aug 25 2009 12:34:25) F...

I tried Putt-Putt and Pep's Balloon-O-Rama / Dutch but it was detected as Spanish. But besides that, the game plays fine.

ZAk-V1-DOS/English

Game completed without real problems. I kept on eye out for open bugs ; Bug #2854034 and #2854037 were present in this version. Bug #1013617, #1329542, #1527625, #2857407 were not. ZAK-FM tested

Completed without problems : Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders (FM-TOWNS) I created bug #2855359 for the Japanese version but did not test it any further due to bug #1342836 (besides that, I can't read Japanese anyway) New bug #2857404 was found while testing the English version. I also encoun...
