The students are known for GSoC 2014!

The accepted Google Summer of Code proposals have been announced yesterday, and we are pleased to say that ScummVM will be mentoring two students, for projects with a Polish theme. - Peter Bozsó (a.k.a. uruk), who you may remember from last year, will work on an engine (and translation to English) o...

Posted for dolong8888: Anyway, I spotted in a thread here (http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=12183) this alternate build at http://anddev.at.ua/load/scummvm_svn55436/1-1-0-7 It doesn't fix the keyboard problem for me, but it has an on screen own keyboard that works at least to change the set...

We already had some internal discussions about a kickstarter campaign, but it's not obvious. But it would be a solution: buying the rights to legal owners then freeing the games...

Now I agree with Digitall, I don't think so many people would pay for that.

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?

Just a happy coincidence :) Concerning its REing now, dreammaster is making impressive daily progress on the core engine that you may see on git on his public repository. But the hardcoded-logic is really large, some compiler optimizations are giving painful headaches... So it'll take several months...

I don't know where you got the "No C++ knowledge is required" from. However, you should probably be able to get by without any prior C++ experience if you can program, and did C and, say, Java in the past, and think you can pick up the C++ syntax quickly. I think I may be behind that. I s...

Chewy is very complex to work on, I have discussed a lot with the original authors. A pile of hardcoded logic based on an engine which is itself slightly modified depending on the scene you're on. I suspect we'll never find someone with enough motivation to work on that, sorry Mutation of JB is in s...

I'm very VERY impressed: you found a Coktel game I never heard about: Excellent! :) It looks like a free game... That's very interesting. I'll start searching for a version immediately. And at the opposite of what you guessed, there are real chances it'sz supported some day. Thanks a lot for this in...

Posted in place of Fred_PJ: For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Croustibat is a (French?) brand of fish sticks by Findus, and is also the name of its fish mascot. They were also sold in Portugal under that brand a few years ago. In 1995, here in Portugal, a videogame based on that chara...

LSL6 Hi-res is using a more recent version of the interpreter which is not yet supported.
details here.

Some developers are working on those interpreters and it'll be supported eventually, when it's ready. Don't hold your breath.
