It isn't currently supported from ScummVM itself, since SDL just can save directly to BMP. You have several options: convert the BMP to JPG or your desired format with an external program, or using your operating system facilities for making screenshots (usually using the "print screen" ke...

Try moving your pointer after clicking on an item. Does the cursor change then?

Blur shading test

Hi, today I've begun experimenting a little with the ScummVM theming. I've added a new shading effect that blurs the background when a new dialog appears (instead of the default dimming). Here are some screenshots: http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/6121/comipausejy2.th.png http://img513.imageshack....

I also experienced this on linux. There was a bug in the kyra engine when playing WSA files which was just fixed today (http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/scummvm?view=rev&revision=26786), so this may be the reason if the WinCE build was done while this bug was in. If it's the case, it should be ...

From what I've read, the DXA codec is lossless. I think you should be careful with the scaling of the pngs, so it doesn't add new colors from the interpolation and the output image is written in 256 colors (better if they're the same colors of the original image).

What kind of solution do you have in mind? Reusing some kind of standard (e.g. gettext) or a custom made one? Gettext could be relatively easily integrated (at least for the most common platforms), and free software translators feel quite comfortable with it. I think the font rendering issues would ...

I got a similar problem (and others too) and it seems that it's a problem of the video drivers. Do you have an ATI card? In this case try to install the fglrx drivers from ATI.

In case it's the only solution available right now, it would be nice to know which files are needed by each game (more specific entries in the "Game data files" section).

If they share a lot of files or big ones (like the music) I'd like to find another solution.

Thanks

Mass add with Simon's Puzzle Pack

Hi, I've just tested the new Mass Add feature and I've found an issue. I don't know if it's my fault, so I post it here before submitting a bug report. The whole puzzle pack is installed in a common folder, and the "Game data files" in the documentation lists the files needed for all the g...

Nice catch! I also found this issue a few weeks ago, and used the same pseudo-solution as you. When I saw this thread I tried to reproduce it (to try to make a fix) but I couldn't. I didn't know why, but it should be that I installed the ATI drivers some days before. When I have free time I'll try t...

It seems to be a SCI game:

Maybe it could work with FreeSCI (I don't know the current support for this specific game)

Now that AGI is being integrated into ScummVM, one can only hope FreeSCI dies too and gets integrated into ScummVM for the good of everyone. (sorry FreeSCI crew, honest thoughts here, nothing personal) Those are cruel thoughts :? A project doesn't need to be dead to be able to be integrated into Sc...

Re: ScummVM for UMPC/Tablet PC?

I miss some features from the Pocket PC port, such as an integrated virtual keyboard, the ability to map a buttom to an action so a buttom can be used to bring up the menu for saving, etc.., and finally the ability to enter in a hover mode ignoring mouse clicks until you go back to normal mode. I d...

The thing is that I would like to know if I'll waste my time trying to RE a game that doesn't have a chance to go into ScummVM. It would also be nice to know which other projects are going on out there or what are future plans so we can join efforts on future engines. For example I'd like to know if...
