subtitles

I've noticed that the subtitles (when activated by T) in German 4 CD version are in English. I wondered if this is a bug somehow (maybe English and German text in this version), but I noticed when installing the game on my Windows ME notebook that I wasn't able to activate the subtitles. Now my ques...

Another point I have to critisize is that the user is forced to use .dxa files. :( In earlier version it just skipped the .dxa files and printed a message in the debugger window. That way it was possible to play the game without cutscene converting. The cutscenes mentioned in ScummVM, I simply watch...

For Sam & Max you are right, but I don't think so for Day of the Tentacle. It's just a version with English speech and French subtitles and French interface.

I also don't think it's easy to mix subtitles and speech; it would require long work which I'm sure you don't want to do.

Bug fixing: need help of Simon the Sorcerer Span. disk owner

When playing StS multilingual version I noticed that there is a crash of the game when being trapped at the goblins' building and trying to escape by using the map. I found out how I can add a missing string. I would like to use the string out of the Spanish floppy disk version, so I need someone wh...

I think you're in the wrong spot here. The ScummVM team and everyone else here concentrate their forces on ScummVM engine related topics. Your chances are very bad to get somebody to help you here. It's even sometimes hard to get a ScummVM related request through.

Reference to IJ3+4 costumes in ScummVM source code

Since I'd like to do some little research on the format of IJ3+4 costumes, I would like to ask where we can find the information for this format in the ScummVM source code.

I'd be greatful if anybody could tell us.

Should that be an insult to my friend because this code is so dirty?
If he knew it, I wouldn't ask here.

Trying to play Ogg musics in Simon engine - need .cpp check

A friend tried to make the Simon engine able to play back ogg as music. It should also loop. But unfortunately he doesn't know C++ very well (actually he works with C) and the program crashs. Could anybody check what's wrong here? http://simsaw.pytalhost.de/simon.cpp http://simsaw.pytalhost.de/sound...

Since somebody made fun of me, I got a little angry, but maybe you need software. (I don't know if you bought a DAT player or a DAT streamer, I guess the later.) If you need software, you'd better ask me - firmly.

Hey, no reason to laugh! I thought joostp should go to his friend to make copies of the DATs, that's all.

Exactly. I got a streamer from Seagate with firmware. Before it could only store from DDS-2 tapes. I hope you can afford to buy one. If not there's still my solution. But I'd prefer if you sent me copies that were copied in a double decker.
