Hello, depending on which edition of the X30 you own (the standard on has "only" 312 MHz), I would assume from your description that there is not enough CPU-power for these games. BTW: I own a hx4700 with 624MHz and the sound in both games is in synch. So this could either give you an idea...

Yes it is. Use compress_scumm_bun and compress_san in your tools directory of ScummVm.

I shrunk COMI to 450MB, now it fits on a SD-Card and thus I have a whole bunch of monkeys in my pocket to entertain me via my iPAQ wherever I go :D

Usually arisme reads this forum, so any proposals on future versions of PocketScumm in a post should be read by him.

@eriktorbjorn: ok, to work around these two problems is in fact tricky. As LogicDelux described this can be solved, but I agree with him that stretching the sound wouldn't sound that good (at least in comparison to the quality of the remaining music when recorded with pro hardware). @olki: I exactly...

proposition on iMUSE audio enhacement

Hello all of you, frankly, I am quite thrilled because of what is going on in the audio restauration project of BASS in the General Discussion forum. I have often read the request to do a MP3 conversion for iMUSE games (such as MI2 etc.) - always turned down because of the coplexity of the used iMUS...

@sev & jochimeberhard just to clarify - I hadn't any segmentation fault, because I assume this should render a beautiful blue screen. ScummVM just crashed with the standard message: program <already exited> has caused an error and was closed. A look into the windows event showed, that no protoco...

Yes, I have a VIA chipset (assuming that you are talking of the motherboard chipset) - a VIA Apollo KT133A to be precise. I have several versions of ScummVM lying around on my HDD and just did some experiments: ScummVM 0.8.0CVS Oct 12 2005 does work ScummVM 0.8.0pre Oct 19 2005 doesn't work In the C...

The MT-32 doesn't even have a Piano sample.
whoa, thats strange! Then why the hell does the Sound Canvas device map the E-Bass with a Piano when used in MT32 mode. Either the used MT32 mapping command doesn't work with my device, or Roland thought MT32 could use a nice piano

Hello LogicDeLuxe thanks a lot for your input! I just had the idea of actually comparing the GS/MT32 combination with the MT32 emulation (don't ask me why I haven't tried earlier ). I tested out several music tracks and the GS only "mapping" sounds more closely the the MT32 emulated ...

Hello Joachim, I would assume that using the --enable-gs flag with enabled MT32 emulation doesn't make sense. --enable-gs (at least in my understanding) should be enabled iff you own a real GS device (not just a GM or a MT32). Though it would be interesting to know if these additional flags are igno...

Thank you all for your information provided. As with the combination of the true MT32 and GS option, I seem to understand the documentation wrong here Originally posted by sev No, that means that no mapping is applied in this case and you have to use real MT-32 as your MIDI output device. I understo...

Hey guys! since you seem to be into some if the internal details of the music in LA games, allow me one question: on what type of (roland) midi device was the music of MI2 composed? I have been wondering for some time now - since I own a Roland GS midi device with a MT32 map table included. I tried ...

No badbob001, I think what Stefan is relying to is the fact that there exists a checkbox for activating apect ratio correction, but activating it doesn't change anything. For example, I own a VGA device and thus can use 2x or advmame2x as a scaler. Activating aspect ratio correction on any 320x200 g...

Hello Arisme, first I have to tell you that I never did any sw-developement for a embedded device, thus I am new to remote debugging. So maybe I need a little more guidance. But lets see what you can do with my findings. I'll describe in steps (again) what I have done, so you can tell me where I did...
