Those are good ideas. Why don't you submit them? I could of course, but you came up with the ideas. They are only suggestions, if someone thinks there's a good idea in there somewhere they are free to submit it if they want to. It sucks that someone is stealing your work. Has anyone tried to take l...

A fix for that little problem would be recompiling the source to display game titles that are within the Dreamcast frontend character limitations. An alternative work around end user fix would be to hex edit the ScummVM binary to display the names you wanted on screen (again, within the frontend ch...

while we're on the subject of the frontend, I think one thing it could perhaps benefit from would be using an external file (scummvm.ini?) A stripped down version of the ScummVM ini would be a great idea for the Dreamcast port, if it had a 'file list' feature it would also make the frontend listing...

The DC port only supports icons with a maximum of 16 colours and 32x32 pixel resolution. The Dreamcast ScummVM menu is mainly a list with the option of displaying a small icon on the left-hand side of a game listed, there isn't any real need for the icon to have larger dimensions, and as pointed ou...

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best program to convert FLAC to other formats? The freer the better... If it's freeware you are looking at using then there's quite a few options, for the best quality you are better off working with uncompressed files to begin with, a quick and easy way...

You can burn the tracks as CDDA and the music will obviously be better quality than the MP3 compressed tracks. There's one major drawback, the DC will be streaming the CDDA but also reading game data from the CDR so overall performance of the game will be worse - you'll get more music skipping and e...

Re: DXA file size reduction?

Hi again, got a another question. Is there any way to reduce the size of the DXA files used by Broken Sword 1 & 2? I thought maybe I'd try encoding the SMK to DXA files myself, but I don't know if the only thing I could reduce size wise is the accompanying audio files. Is there a parameter in t...

The game had Spielberg written all over it Since I absolutely abhor Spielberg (that idiot hack butchered too many SF classics, in my eyes), but loved The Dig, I beg to differ. :P I loved The Dig too but in my opinion it had the drawn out cinematic elements that Spielberg uses, it dampened the game ...

The game had Spielberg written all over it, Close Encounters was just as slow but in cinematic format and almost twenty years previously - you are either into SCI-FI classics or not!.

Re: ridiculous video request...

I have a somewhat ridiculous video request-- can anyone capture the scene in No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside where the carrot from the Salad Liberation Front frees the veggies from the fridge? Is this the scene you are after? Pajama Sam (YouTube vid) It's got voice over from the players so d...

why would you want to recompile ScummVM to disable the auto-save feature? The Dreamcast port seems to be the only one that has problems with the autosave feature. With the Dreamcast, the save data is stored on a VMU (Visual Memory Unit) plugged into the console's controller, the VMU has a small spe...

Can't really help you with this because I haven't tested any AGI games with ScummVM on the DC, it's something I've been meaning to do for some time so it's a good excuse to make a new CD to play with. I'll post back with some test results, unless someone else beats me to it.

I meant the "0.12.0" binary/plain files. Sorry, should have guessed you meant that  . Do you happen to know what settings to use in Bootdreams to create an cdi image? I use BootDreams for creating an Audio/Data CDI with my ISO settings all checked, but I guess that's just down to pe...
